A visual discovery of the architecture of the XXème century
With more than 3000 photographs, drawings and plans of the contemporary modern architecture, this cédérom gives access an exceptional iconography which recalls the history of the architecture of the XXème century
It was carried out starting from the “Dictionary of the architecture of the XXème century” published in version paper in 1996 by the Hazan Editions and the French Institute of Architecture. It was updated and enriched by multiple entries and additional images
Thanks to the various modes of alphabetical, geographical or textual research, this program gives access to more than 2500 notes covering all the fields of the architecture of the XXème century; they are accessible by 7 different entries:
- 59 topics (Art déco, Skyscraper, Capacity and architecture…)
- 15 schools (Bauhaus, National School, of the Art schools of Paris…)
- 2125 architects (of Alvar Aalto in Peter Zunthor)
- 134 groups (of Adobe with ZGF group)
- 82 institutions (of AAM in Whitney Museum of American Art)
- 117 reviews and critical (of A+ with Zodchii)
- 20 houses of famous architects are studied thoroughly to emphasize the creative process: drafts to the photographs of the project while passing by the detailed plans
